On our way to Maine, in the car, Ben says, “I want to move to Maine!”
“Me too, honey,” I said. “I really want to move back to Maine. How do we make that happen? What would we need?”
“A house,” he said. “We need to get a house there.”
“Yes. A house is important, but what else do we need?”
“All our stuff?” he guessed.
“What do the grownups need?” I asked.
“Coffee!” said Max.
I burst out laughing. I had meant “jobs,” we need to get jobs up there.
But coffee is good, too.
